don't these morons have anything better to do? so what if someone wants to build a creationist museum. it was built with private money not tax dollars. why protest something that does not affect them in any way shape or form? will evolutionists protest outside churches next because they don't believe in the bible? what's next morons?

What about the christians who protested removing the 10 commandment monument from that courthouse? Didn't those morons have anything better to do?
What is upsetting people is that religion is trying to influence science. Religion is trying to tell the world what science should say. That has happened before and with terrifying consequences. There were people burned to death for saying that the earth orbited the sun. The people protesting are protesting science being tossed out in order to please religion. Science considers evolution fact. Sorry to the christians but that is true. Science also considers the earth orbiting the sun as fact even though there are passages in the bible that say the earth does not move. Christians today don't allow that bit of science to interfere with their beliefs. Why do they feel the need to try to get people to believe in fantasy instead of science? I know many christians who believe that evolution is real and that it is a part of god's plan. By declaring science humbug and creating an entire museum that says that creation is real is actually making the creationists look silly.
The people of the US so are science illiterate these days. Why make it worse by trying to reshape science to please religion.

You're mean! I wanna pterosaur!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! WAAAH! Of course the survival of any species from the triassic or any other geological period does not invalidate evolution, it just means the species (or it's descendants) survived. What if the pterosaurs don't want to be owned? What it they die or fail to reproduce in captivity? What if they have the creationists for lunch? I thought it was a parody site till I saw the name 'Carl Baugh', who "has led expeditions to New Guinea." Documentary evidence that this foolishness has happened? Has Carl Baugh's passport got New Guinea stamps on it? $5 says no. Carl Baugh, the gentleman who was "hoaxed" into "believing" that a piece of American pine soaked in teriyaki sauce and microwaved was a piece of Noah's Ark and had a TV show made on the basis of it. About the closest he has come to New Guinea would be a few days in Port Moresby so he could spread his particular brand of lies at the local fundie churches. These people may be liars but I think they are not quite so silly. EDIT (several hours later) - It is a parody site, probably an offshoot of the Landover Baptist Church site, supposedly opposed to the Landover site but actually controlled by them. If you look at the exploits of "Dr Richard Paley" they are beyond anything that even the most idiotic of fundies would swallow (or maybe not, for an idea of just how pathetically idiotic they can be, see "Rapture Ready")

Really, do you think that you should be calling people morons when you do not understand English?
Here is a general definition of fascism:
“A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.”
As any educated person can see, the definition is more applicable to conservative religious morons that it is to Atheist morons.
The fact that the museum is blatantly and demonstrably dishonest should cause everyone to voice an objection – especially the pathologically pious nit-wits of the Christian-right. Really, I was under the impression that you opposed lying and such things, but I was apparently mistaken.
You are free to support stupidity and ignorance to your heart’s content, as we are free to support intelligence and education.

edit –
Typical Christian hypocrisy; you call people morons and then falsely claim that you are being persecuted. You are really a very insecure and scared little man, aren’t you?

I feel that Christians have every right to believe whatever they want to no matter how much scientific evidence there is to the contrary; however, how can you have a museum dedicated to something for which there is only written proof? I mean, what is in the museum exactly which shows that creation happened as it is told in the bible??
In answer to your question, no one should be protesting this museum no matter how ridiculous of a concept it is.

OK here's my pathetic answer.
Why do Christians (not all) need a Creationist Museum? Did they find out that the Bible is wrong on just about everything?
Hmm maybe they want their Bible to evolve.

Look, I will happily make fun of the nonsense that that museum puts out. But I do have better things to do than go there and protest. But if you think that those lies don't effect us at all you are very mistaken. I guess they just wanted to have a say too.
Why are you pissed off? They were just peacefully providing a counter point. Don't you have anything better to do than complain about something that doesn't effect you at all?

Creationist Museum Neat.
I wonder if there is a wing devoted to Leprechauns. There is just a much evidence, and our children have been hidden from the truth about their existence for too long.

While I wouldn't bother to even waste my time "protesting" such a foolish place, I think that the the basic point is that these jesus freaks are attempting to discredit years of PROVEN and accepted science based on a book written 1000s of years ago by people who thought that the world was flat! Sadly for them, the only thing they are discrediting is themselves. The collection of dopes, morons, and weak minded fools that subscribe to these bible stories are destined to be the laughing stock of our society.

It's being presented as science, not religion.
"I believe in free speech,(but) I believe that people who go into the public education business - and that's what museums do - have an obligation to convey the most up-to-date and accurate information that they can, not to try to persuade people to (accept) a particular ideological belief."--Alan Leshner, chief executive officer of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Who told you all "evolutionists" explicitly don't believe in the Bible? Not all Christians are Biblical literalists.
If you actually took the time to learn about evolution, you'd see that you can accept evolution and still believe in God. The only people who claim otherwise are the creationists, NOT the scientists.
Do they have a right to build such a thing? Sure, just as somebody else could build a museum that teaches gravity is caused by pixies. It still isn't science.
