Nothing. The DNA doesn't line up. Which tells me you must be about 10 years old since you haven't had biology class yet. Now get off the computer, stop talking to strangers, and go play Barbie with your friends.

It is not possible and if it did happen it would not be a good thing. A dog can stand water, a cat can't what do you think the offspring would do? There would be psychological conflicts within it. Does it seems fair? If an animal is not created by nature it's for a reason, to those that say it would be cool... how about you mate with a monkey and then we stare and study your child for our entertainment

However it might look to you, they were not mating. A 2 month old kitten is not mature enough to do that. It is highly unlikely that they ever will. Dogs & cats are like birds & frogs, the attraction just isn't there. When your dog is in heat the cat won't have a clue.
What I'm wondering is what someone your age is doing on here posting questions like this. Not exactly age-appropriate.

Watch the cartoon Cat Dog. It is great. Anyway this happened between my female cat and male dog. It was hillarious. A few months later she had kittens, not by him. but he thought they were his and helped take care of them. True story!!
They'll be fine. Fix the cat if nothing else. Cats produce too many cats lol.

cats have one less chromosome than dogs
Dogs have 78 chromosomes in 39 pairs and cats have 38 in 19 pairs. I leave it to the grammarians to determine whether it is therefore true to say that "cats have one fewer chromosome than dogs".
I do not believe it possible for a cat and a dog to interbreed

LOL Seriously what did you think would happen....you'd get a dog/cat hibrid or something?
Get both your animals de-sexed, there is no reason to keep them entire.
Dogs and cats can not produce off spring.

It is impossible for this to produce any offspring. I doubt they are that friendly with each other anyway. There is no physical attraction between the two in this manner. Please get your cat and dog spayed and neutered right away and you won't have to worry about it anyway.

The world is coming to an end or you will get a dog with the natures and charecteristics of a cat. Did they actually mate though.

They both need therapy- maybe all three of you...
jk. Species that far apart can't make babies. Real similar species (Horse and donkey, for instance) can make offspring, or different breeds of the same species. But even mules (horse + donkey) are sterile.
