Scientology does not oppose medical practice. If you are physically sick or unwell you go to a medical doctor. All Scientologists use medical doctors when necessary. If your doctor prescribes a medication that is needed to handle your physical problem then you do what your medical doctor tells you.
Scientology is not a medical science. It's a religion that addresses a person spiritually not physically.

All Scientologists however are opposed to the current and past practices of psychiatry. Our viewpoint is that this is not a science based on any proven scientific or medical facts or evidence. It is a psuedo science that has caused much harm and continues to do so. Scientology and Scientologists are not the only ones who have this point of view.
Tom Cruise is only talking about giving dangerous addictive psychiatric medication to young children who they have arbitrarily decided to label "ADHD" and without any standard medical checkup.This practice involves millions of kids in the USA alone (not to mention billions of dollars for drug companies and psychiatrists.)
