Yeah, I would say go to the vet to make sure it isn't an allergic reaction. It may be nothing, but at least you want to make sure.

If you've got it from your vet and used the correct one (is it drops or spray?) there shouldn't be a problem. Very likely she is just a little stressed from the application!

There isn't a product in the world that can claim to have never, ever caused any adverse reactions of any sort, but as Flea products go, Frontline is the safest. It is very hard to overdose on - even if they ingest it it only causes hypersalivation.

Do call a vet if you're worried about your cat - worrying symptoms would be if she gets diarrhoea or vomiting or any unusual behaviours like twitching, head shaking etc. Frontline is not systemic however (only acts on the skin) so I wouldn't expect any problems like this.

Frontline's 'required age' is 8 weeks old for the spot-on, and two days of age for the spray.

Take him to the vet. Just because Frontline is made for cats doesn't mean that ALL cats can handle it. Remember all these topical treatments are PESTICIDES! Also, if you can, you might wash him in Dawn soap (or any other detergent based soap) to remove the Frontline. He won't like it and it will make his hair coarse and dry, but it will slow down the reaction. Take him to the vet regardless.

Frontline is a great product for preventing fleas and ticks from taking up residence on your pet. However, there are some cats who can have a negative reaction to the medication with hair loss, skin allergies, or more rarely, vomiting and/or kidney/liver problems.

If you cat is having trouble breathing, take her back to the vet to be checked!

Good luck!

Frontline is not harmful to cats becoz it is made to make them better. Maybe it was just a harmless reaction, go to the vet and see what they say, Good luck x

If you got it from the vet, and it was made for cats, it shouldn't be harmful. Read the insert of instructions for possible reactions. If breathing irregularities is one of the side effects, have the cat seen by the vet ASAP. Cats and dogs can both have reactions to these types of medications.

Frontline is great the best thing for cats. We use it in the UK, i used it on my kitten from 10 weeks old. and he never has any creepers on him.

If the situation doesn't change do call your vet or a vet that is available. S/he will probably ask you a few questions and evaluate if you need to take your cat for examination. If it seems serious don't take too long to do this.

Alex, take him to a vet - ASAP.

Frontline has a required age, and should NOT be administered to very young kittens.
I would suspect the panting could be from some other ailemnet, or heat.
Has kitty been tested for FIV / Leukemia ?
