I would agree with the bad experiences remark. I would be willing to take a wild guess that because christianity is so popular in the united states, that there is a very good chance that they have had bad encounters with certain "christians" that did not portray Christ in a manner of love. Its not the fault of the people on this website, its the fault of the christian they met.

A great many people have accepted the lies of the world, and for those trying to live a lie, the truth is the greatest obstacle. So they lash out against it. But that doesn't make it any less true, and many of them know this in the depths of their hearts and souls.

Christians are human. They may have been bought with a price, but there humanity dosent stop. This fact makes them fallible. Many of them have portrayed themselves as superior in view of others, and many condem them along with Christ for it. We Christians have messed up in view of others instead of portraying the glory of God through us. This does not although give others the right to portray themselves as superior either.

I am a christian, but i think a lot of christians who get insulted on this forum bring it on themselves. Some of them seem to go on the forum for the express purpose of pushing a narrow-minded interpretation of christianity and saying that it's 'the only way...' in the face of all archaeological, scientific, and textual evidence.

Because they are closed minded and don't think people should have the right to choose how they feel and believe. People like Morgan who says we are ALL hypocrites. Wow! that is a huge huge assumption. I haven't met Morgan and she is calling me a hypocrite. Watch out. You are next.

There are plenty of whiners on both sides of this debate. Everybody needs to get over themselves and get on with their lives.
Atheists, you live in a world where people have religious beliefs.
Deal with it.
Christians, there are people who choose not to believe.
Deal with it.
Chill out and enjoy life or it'll be over before you know it.

I am relatively new to yahoo answers, but after seeing many posts by Christian people, i am beginning to wonder if they really are as nice as i thought they were, it seems to me that many of them on here are shoving their religion down peoples throats, and have horrible views on people who are gay, people who do not believe the things they do etc..., i am not a religious person, i never will attend a church, because i do not feel God when i am there, i do not mean to offend anyone i am speaking purely for myself here, if i am doing wrong is that not my problem?, am i not exercising my own free will?, for me the whole point of God giving us free will would be to see who follows him freely and not because they were pushed?, so why do these religious people go against Gods plans? they all seem to be very hypocritical to me, stop trying to save me, i am not yours to save.

I assure you they are not against christians or else they would be spending their time doing something else meaningful. They are on this web-site because they are drawn to this site by the power of God whether they choose to acknowlege God or not. Many will eventually find God at another phase in their life but yahoo will be the seed.

They are interfering with my life and the lives of my friends. They are trying to pass laws to allow them to discriminate against others when we've already passed laws to protect the christians from discrimination. They're trying to pass laws to stop science from being taught and replace it with their superstitions. They're trying pass laws that would give women no rights over their own bodies. They're ruining this country.

I have no idea and wonder that myself quite often. It will be interesting to see if you get any intelligent answers. I have yet to figure out why they care one way or the other about my religious beliefs as I dont try to convert any of them or force my beliefs on them.
