if i tell this guy how i feel about him. We are friends so I am just scared of ruining what we have.
1) When he has not seen me in awhile, he hugs me as soon as I get there, says he misses me and asks if I missed him.
2) Picks on me but not in a mean way
3) Holds my hand to lead me through a crowd
4) Asks about my friends and introduces me to his
5) Brings up topics like marriage, kids and people living together, just his beliefs
6) Holds me and runs his fingers through my hair
7) Won't let me pay for anything even though I offer
8) Asks what I am doing for my birthday, that is not for another 3 months
9) Asks if I still talk to my ex
10) Asks about my future plans
11) Says there are jobs like what I am looking for where he lives

As a guy I can say that he likes you a lot. And wants to take your relationship to a more intimate level. The good thing is he respects you enough to sound out how serious you are about him first
However I would find out if he has just ended a serious relationship. He may be subconsciously be setting you up to be a "friend with benefits" while he searches for someone more long term. He may be asking you all these questions about marriage and relationships because he wants to learn a more female perspective. Because of your friendship he is more comfortable asking you about these things than anyone else he knows. He also (very obviously) know which buttons of yours to press to get the response he wants.
It is pretty obvious he has made plans for his future, but if I were you I would try to find out if I was part of them

Not a guy, but been around the block enough to see that it's very clear this guy likes you, and not just as a friend. Being good friends already, you have a solid foundation for a successful relationship. The next thing is for you guys to communicate your desires and expectations of the relationship, your future, family goals, finances, etc., to make sure you are on the same page. You won't be on all, but it's all in the compromise.
