After checking out your other questions, it appears you live in Southern Illinois. In that case, drive over to Branson, Missouri and spend some time there. You can visit Silver Dollar City, go to a show or two, or just kick back and relax. It's really beautiful there.

Have fun!

I've seen "road trip" mentioned a few times -- if you like travelling around the states, finding little local hidden gems or camping around in the national parks, that can be a really memorable and special trip. If you want something more exotic or traditional, look into airfare/hotel packages online at places like Expedia or Travelocity. You usually save a bit on the airfare and/or hotel when you buy trips in a package form. When you're picking locales, consider places where the dollar will stretch a bit more -- a beachside resort in Mexico, high tea and garden walks in Victoria B.C., etc. If you have your heart set on faraway lands, trips to Europe can be expensive, but if you're willing to go offseason, when prices are lower and the tourists aren't flocking there, that's a good way to travel.

I assume that includes flights, hotels and food for both of you together? This is going to be hard if not impossible.

Instead of flying somewhere, why don't you drive to a nearby town and take a long weekend as a honeymoon? Maybe there's a "cottage country" or lake with little stow-away cabins within an hour or two of where you live. My friends drove to a small ocean-front community about two hours from where they live and had a 5-day weekend there as their honeymoon.

It won't be a typical honeymoon but at least you'll be getting away and spending a few days together solo after the wedding!

Good luck!

if i had 1000 dollars to work with i would rent a car and go to another state away from where u live and get a cabin or a lake house and spend the week or whatever how long and sit by the lake . or if u can find a cheap cruise then go on that. but if i cant go on a cruise i would get out of the state im in and find an romantic spot somewhere online and go there

Not knowing where you are from makes it hard to make suggestions but here's a couple ideas.

Camping is cheap and fun. Or maybe a road trip for a couple of days to somewhere you have never been before.

You could also keep your eyes on websites like vacations to go, or expedia to see if you can catch a great deal.

Although option to consider is a house exchange. Its becoming more and more popular. There are lots of websites with more info.

Good luck and have a great time whereever you choose!

You might be able to do a cruise, but watch out for excursion costs, etc... I have taken a few from vacationstogo.com. You might also consider a long weekend somewhere. That way you can stay upscale and get the honeymoon suite, etc... It's tough. We had a hard time doing it on 1K, seventeen years ago.

Depending on where you are, let's say Gatlinburg. Rent a chalet up in the mountains, candlelit dinners prepred by you both, long soaks in the hot tub in the evening, wrides up the mountains to see spectacular views. etc.

If you're notin the part of the country (east/midwest), how about a nice road trip to a wine region (almost every state has one)?

the most popular cheap honeymoon is taking a cross country car or train trip. Train is gonna cost you a tiny bit more, but you can get a sleeper car and see the country. If you live closer to the east cost, take Amtrak up to Niagra, ride the maid of the mist, fun stuff like that.

Depends on where you are. Obviously...driving versus flying will help save you a significant amount of money.

What do you really enjoy doing? It is staying in a resort? Then spending the money on the hotel or resort would make the best us of most of your funds. Do you enjoy fine dining? Then you would want to spend $100 on a good meal.

You need to prioritize what it is that you want to do on this honeymoon and spend the bulk of your money on that item or service.

If you live near a beach, you could stay at a hotel for a few days on the beach! Or if you live close to Disney, why not go there for a few days? Sometimes there are some really good deals on cruises too- my brother just got one with Carnival for $298 total for 4 nights! If you check Expedia.com they will have lots of deals.
