I don't know whether you are trying to hide something or just wanting to beat the test. Polygraphs are pretty accurate whether polygraphs are admissible in court or not. They are accurate at measuring heart rates, perspiration, breathing etc. These reactions however are not specific to lies!
Anyway, it is not that easy to beat the test but it is doable. Remember that the "harmless" questions thrown here and there are supposed to establish a baseline. Remember too you can train yourself to remain calm and keep your pulse rate low (easier said than done).

Stick a thumbtack inside your shoe. Position it so that you can prick your foot at any time by pressing down in a certain way. Do this during random questions. The anticipation of the pain will mimic the response of lying to the questioner. This will skew the results making the test unreliable. However, an experienced operator will realize something is fishy.

I often wondered if people with athletic heartrates and low blood pressure can beat a polygraph test.

Tell the truth, if this is a serious case and they catch you in a lie you could end up doing some serious time. One thing you do not want to do to law enforcement is lie.

Don't worry about it. Polygraphs are known to be unreliable, that's why they're inadmissible in court.

get a pacemaker installed and dehydrate your self so you do not sweat. They'll never know you are lying
or you can be a loser and tell the truth

polygraphs measure, heart rate, persperation on your palms and your breaths, breathe steady, get some antipersperant on your finger tips and take four second breaths, good luck and remember just remain calm
