I don't have enough motivation to get my fat *** up and work out and I'm sick of it. I always tell myself I can start tomorrow but I end up telling myself that every day. Could this be a psycological problem? Why can't I just get myself to workout?

Well, yeah it could be psychological. You're not ready to make the commitment to yourself to be healthier. Why? Aren't you worth it? Do you deserve to be unhealthy? What are you gaining by NOT working out?

If you keep thinking 'This won't make anything better, it's too much effort and it won't pay me back', it is psychological because that means you don't see your health as a prior asset in your life. It may be that you have unrealistic expectations due to what media suggests as beauty and success, as most of us do. But it's definitely up to you to love yourself and to care for your body, and it will bring you so many long term benefits, you just got to have faith in yourself and think about the virtues you appreciate. Unless you have any physical handicaps, you are probably being lazy and ignorant. No pain no gain, you can't get anything without sacrifice, it's nature's rule. Good luck. Don't substitute food or lazyness for love! Remember you deserve love no matter how you look like, but respect and attention won't come without sacrificing from immature comforts. Excercise is the only way to prevent early aging, it's necessary, think of our ancestors and how much they had to move around all day long, lol. Inertia ages and kills us slowly.

I don't know, but if you were the only one, there wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar weight-loss industry.

I did not get consistant about workouts for the first two months of my diet. I finally signed up for a 5K, then invited my husband to come along. Then I got my boss to do this with me. This played directly to my greatest fear - failure in public. The idea of collapsing on a city street surrounded by loved ones and coworkers was enough for me to stay on a training schedule and eventually run an entire 5K. (you can find Couch to 5K programs at both SparkPeople.com and CoolRunning.com - both are free, but Spark requires registration first.)

It is partially psychological... mainly because you are trying to develop new, healthy habits to replace your safe, comfortable habits. It does take some time, and a lot of effort. Good luck!

Could be. I have the same problem, but I just bought a self-hypnosis CD that I hope will help. I have a co-worker who went to a hypnosis workshop at Oakwood Hospital to quit smoking, and he hasn't touched a cigarette in over two years. Here's the website for the self-hypnosis CD if you're interested: http://www.hyptalk.com/

I get a case of the fu** its myself. I do notice that the healthier I eat the more motivation i have. Maybe think about changing your diet first.. then worry about exercising

It is not psychological. It is physical and a character issue. When it is important and you don't do it then maybe it's because you are lazy.
