OKAY IM A SOON TO GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR. I WANT TO ATTEND ASU (ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY), I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. ASU HAS BEEN MY DREAM SCHOOL SINCE MIDDLE SCHOOL. BUT EVER SINCE I FOUND OUT I AM PUT UNDER NONRESIDENT TUITION. MY TUITION WILL COST A BIT MORE THAN ABOUT 24,000 DOLLARS! yikes!

ALTHOUGH MY EFC IS ABOUT 6,000, MY PARENTS ARE STILL NOT GOING TO CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING.

PUT IT THIS WAY, I HAVE TO DO IT ON MY OWN. BUT I CAN'T GET MANY SCHOLARSHIPS BECAUSE OF MY PARENTS INCOME!

ANY HELP?

AND ASU ISN'T BEING MUCH OF A SUPPORT EITHER.

AND I'M NOT GOING TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE, NOT STAYING IN CALIFORNIA FOR COLLEGE, I ALREADY DECLINED ALL THE OTHER 7-8 SCHOOLS I GOT INTO. INCLUDING BERKELEY!!!!

I MEAN I HAVE A 4.50 GPA. BUT THE WHOLE PARENTS INCOME!
DRIVES ME NUTS.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. HOW DO I PAY FOR COLLEGE!!!

help?

take out a student loan??
im not sure what sort of help they have out there in the US but in the UK we have something called a STUDENT LOAN...NOT a bank loan..
its something which is specaily designed for students, so that once they have graduated and get into a job and earning over 20k then they start asking for you to pay back with little interest rates...

going there also means that you will NEED to get a job...good luck..

Also one tip...dont write in pure capital letters, it makes it VERY hard to read your sentances. :)

Best option is trying to get some loans. College is an investment where you will win no matter what because in the long run, you will make up for your lost. Another option would be trying to get some family aid. Have any rich uncles or aunts that can sponser you in any way possible. You can also get a job over the summer and work like crazy, get over time every single day. Find any possible way to get some money and fast. Besides that, I would suggest to take some loans from some banks and family members who have extra money to offer you.

You want to go to ASU, but you got no money, hence you are not going to ASU. You need to stay home, go to a community college for a couple years while you work to make the cash to go to ASU for your junior & senior years.

Roll the dice, buy lottery tickets and pray.
