the last serious relationship i had, the guy used me, and it took me a while to get over- but i think that's irrelevant to this happening...

i started crying when he rolled me on top of him if that makes any difference.

Maybe you became aware of the possibility of your being used again. If you were not ready to have this kind of a relationship, you should have rolled yourself back off of him and asked him what was up with that move? You need to allow yourself more time to socialize with the men you meet before you let them have free access to your body. If you do not take charge of this tendency, you could end up being used repeatedly. You should not be having sex with your "boyfriend" without some type of a commitment of longevity, exclusivity and monogamy from him. Just because you are serious, does not mean that your male partner is equally serious. You may only know for sure if he asks you to become his WIFE. Your self-esteem is damaged at this point.
Start being good to yourself and putting your own feelings ahead of those of the men you are spending time with.

if you had never had sex before, and you started crying, it might have been because it hurt when you moved that way. i cried my first time, not so much because it hurt but because i was so overcome with emotion and happy and in love...it's pretty normal to cry now and then in that situation.
maybe something about that position stirred something in you and you can't quite explain it. don't worry. if you think your experience in your last relationship is irrelevant, that's a good sign. but you never know when stuff like that will come and trip you up.
good luck, take it easy.

First time sex is very emotional especially if you have been hurt in the past. Hopefully your boyfriend is understanding and will take it slow IE lots of foreplay and cuddling this will help you adjust to the new relationship and be comfortable in ANY position.

I think you were probably not emotionally ready to have sex, the current guy may be wonderful, but you are having difficulty moving on from past heart break.

Your emotions were let out and you let your anger towards your ex go. You felt as if this guy had directly replaced your memories of being used. Or maybe it was because you should have waited until marriage to have sex.

Good sex is emotional. Emotions can make people cry. It does not have to be only sadness. That is why you see people laugh so hard that "tears come to their eyes".

were you feeling guilty for some reason, or subconciously that you didn't want to do what you were doing? I know if I do something I think I shouldn't be doing, then it makes me cry.

p.s. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty! I'm just telling you my experience of crying for no reason.
