I have an '05 and love it. It gets great gas mileage. It drives really peppy and zippy and does not feel like a compact car at all (like our 92 Geo Prism). It holds 4 adults very comfortably and a stereo in it is just fine. It is not really that small of a car.

The Interior in ours is holding up just fine after 2 years of usage (we just passed the 32,000 mile mark). So far nothing has broke or worn out/faded. Ours has the chrome interior and the sunlight reflecting off the chrome coverings can get annoying at times.

The acceleration is pretty good, when my wife, in the Corolla, is side by side with me, in my 86 BMW 325e she takes off much faster then I do.

When we travel, we average about 90-95 though New Mexico and Arizona with no problems. However at high speeds above 65ish there can be an annoying whining sound. If you read through the questions and answers on this site you will find that many owners have the same problem. Most seem to solve it by gluing the molding on the roof down. Also, it seems to have a little more road noise then our '97 Malibu.

A problem I see with the Corolla is the tiny, cheap, plastic clip in the center console. Ours has not broke, but I know it won't take much to break it.

Overall it is a great car that I love to drive just a little more then my 06 Tundra.

i own a 05' corolla s. It's my wife's car but sometimes I use it for business (long trips) good on gas 34 average in city and hwy and low 40's on hwy. I'm a 6'3" driver and I feel it very comfortable. The S model comes with sunroof, nice looking white instrumental pod, body kit with spoiler and allow wheels. I see it very realiable vehicle and it will take you anywhere. The new nissan sentra looks like a stretch beetle (horrible appearance) and comparing it with the civic it costs less and resale value is great!

I've driven one. Drives like a compact car w/4 cylinder engine. Interior is ...... boring ......but so is the interior in any car in that price range.

Check out the Nissan Sentra, with those you can at least get a bitchin stereo.
