Does anyone else out there have vertigo? I've had it for years and it's getting worse and worse, I get some awful attacks... I'm dizzy 24/7... does anyone have a good remedy, at least temporary remedy for this? I've been to so many doctors, taking so many MRIs, CTs, etc... Been put on so much medicine, nothing works... does anyone know anything?

I do experience vertigo sometimes, due to my depression meds. And you're right, it's not fun. I'm sure you know that vertigo is a balance disorder. Prescription pills with SNRI's SSRI's can be helpful. As well as some other treatments. When it usually occurs for me, I just wait it out and either sit or lay down and practice breathing exercises until I feel better. This has helped for me, I;m not for sure if it will for you. But if you're looking for something a little more temperary, you can ask your doctor about that. Also, I think a form of relaxing exercise or something similar might help as well.

I felt that way through my first and second trimester. Everyone told me the second trimester would be the best and I would be full of energy and feeling great. HA! I felt worse in the second trimester and to top it off we moved from an apartment to a house which just about wiped me out. Never move from a second story apartment while you are pregnant unless you either hire someone or it has an elevator! The worst part for me was when I would start to hate it, I'd feel guilty for hating being pregnant. A part of me felt that if I complained or felt ungrateful for being pregnant that something would happen to my baby. Totally irrational but I still feared it. I've started to enjoy being pregnant in the last trimester, I'm not sure why though. I have horrible carpal tunnel that makes my hands numb and miserable all the time. I think it must be that I have been so busy with preparing the nursery that it has made it easier. I found that Orange Juice or caffeine can sometimes help when the baby is laying in a position that really hurts.. like the nerve.

As long as you've already talked to a number of mainstream medical doctors and taken some expensive mainstream tests, why not give some "alternative medicine" a shot. I doubt you have anything to lose by seeing an Acupuncturist to see if it's some kind of "disruption of your Ki force" or whatever it is they fix, or see a (licensed) Hypnotherapist to see if it might not be psychosomatic or some repressed fear.

It's worth a try.
