i have a friend who really wants me to meet a guy friend of hers. after bugging me a few times about it, i agreed to let her give him my #. he said he couldn't work up the nerve to call me so he gave her his # to give to me. what does this mean? does he actually want me to call? and if i do call him to set up a time to hang out, what do i say?

Well, it's kind of lame that he can't get up the nerve to call, but still... why not give him a call? Couldn't hurt. Just keep it really casual. If anything start off making some joke about the friend you have in common. Like, "My friend has been driving me nuts talking about you, so I figured I'd give you a call so she could get off your back too," or something like that. Just keep it light and funny, to break the ice. Then see how the conversation goes from there. If it goes well and you guys seem to hit it off, you can just invite him to a movie or something. Or if you are both too shy to call, why not try e-mailing each other? That's a lot less pressure and an easy way to get the ball rolling. If neither of those work for you, why not have your friend organize a group outing so that you get to meet him in a totally nonpressure situation.

If he's THAT shy, question if he'd be a good match for you. You will probably have to hold most of the conversations, make most of the decisions, and do most of the initiating contact.

I doubt he'd have told your friend to give you his # if he didn't want you to call...but I doubt personally I'd be interested in going out with someone who was to afraid to call me. I like my men with a little more spine.

Just call him and talk a few times; then make a date to meet in a public place, like a restaurant or a bar. He might turn out
to be the best thing ever. and he might not.

wow..he's lazy..he kind of asked you to call him yourself..i can't live with a guy like that..gosh..

okay..this is how you get the attention of a guy in a very annoying way..first..you call him and when he answers it hung up..do it three times and he'll get annoyed and he'll be forced to call you..when he calls you..he'll surely ask why and tell him that you had nothing to do and you'll surely bond..it worked for me..it will surely work for you too..

Just call him and say "Hello". Take this opportunity and take the lead and meet him
