Please "DO NOT"use Dawn dish soap on the dog because it ALSO strips the natural oils from the coat causing it to have dry itchy skin!!!!
The only thing you can do is give it time to wear our of the coat natually in a week or so.

You can try a little Dawn, but be assured, it will eventually wear away and she will be the lovely white dog she always was.
As long as she is clean, there should be no harm with the gray streak until it wears away.
They have used Dawn to clean the critters that had oil on them during the oil spills.

Get "Goo Be Gone" and pour a small amount on a clean cloth. Rub the grease mark with the solution and it should come off. Once the mark is gone, rinse the area of your dog's coat with warm water and dry. "Goo Be Gone" is at the grocery stores or at the local hardware stores. It's normally used to remove gum and sticky labels.
Good luck!

Dawn Dish Soap is actually sanctioned by the Dept. of Fish & WIldlife as a good soap to get oil out of fur and feathers. It is used to clean off oil-soaked water birds from oil spills.

Try Dawn dishwashing liquid, which is used by emergency relief teams helping oiled wildlife. Just make sure your dog doesn't ingest any of the detergent or the oil! good luck!

To get the residual oil out, saturate the areas she's discoloured in vegetable oil. The bad part is you need to leave it on for 24 hours, then bath her, making sure to rinse really, really well.

Bring your dog to a grooming salon, i am sure they will get it out! Giving a bath your self may not work as well as bringing your dog to the grooming salon!
Hope you get it off!
~K~
P.S. Dawn dish soap may help also!

Skunks are black with a white stripe, not white with a black stripe LOL.
If you have tried dog shampoos with no success, try vinegar and baking soda (GREAT for getting out greasy stains!). Otherwise, you may have to wait for the dog's hair to grow out.

Unfortunately, you will need totake her to the vet or at least call them to ask which type of product to use. Dogs have a very different Ph level than human, so product that we use can be potentially harmful to your dog's skin etc...

Try Dawn dish soap. It is a surfactant which will help dissolve the oil. That's why it works so well on greasy dishes.
