Maybe that is why they are doing what they are doing, by turning the focus on them as celebs rather than face the fact they were irresponsible and reckless!

I agree, it is time. I'll admit I have not been following this story as closely as some. however. I have a daughter and I don't let go over her hand. Never mind leave her in a hotel room with 2 babies. Pub, Bar, restaurant it doesn't matter. Details. it's all the same. They were neglectful. What the heck is wrong with these supposedly well educated professional every one feels so bad for? I agree that had they been from a different social class the media would be portraying them much differently. They would dig up everything from their pasts and slander them. Do not get me wrong. I don't think anyone deserves this but maybe someone should consider that they didn't just neglect Maddy. They also neglected the twins they still have custody of. I am sorry but this topic makes me irate because I am a parent. I would rather dine with my daughter than in a hotel restaurant any day. My question is... could these "well to doers" not afford a nanny or sitter? Or did they really just not have the sence?

I guess if you look at it perhaps the media are being less critical of leaving a child alone because they are both proffessionals (doctors?), I wonder if they would afford the same stance had they been less affluent?
At the end though the main thing is that the little girl is okay.....let us all hope this ends soon with Maddie back home safely with her family.

I am not one to judge and would never say the things that you have posted.
Turmoil and guilt that they are feeling has to be eating at their souls and hearts.
To loose a child.....no matter what the reason.....is the worse thing in the world that could ever happen to a parent.

Who's the sicko that has her...why in the world would anyone feel like they could walk into someones room and take her...
They had no right!!!

Isn't a person safe anywhere anymore....cruise ship, hotel...beaches....In their own car and/or home....

give me a break....

They feel very guilty for doing so, and it will be with them for the rest of their lives! Did you not watch the interview they did a few days ago?
And it wasnt a pub, it was a restraunt.

they may very well feel that way already but, what's done is done. realizing it was or wasn't their fault won't bring the child back. all they can do know is focus on their hopes that she will be found unharmed.
as much as i hate to say it, i don't think she will be.

Yes i think it is, if they would admit to their neglect i think it would go a long way with the public, those that are appalled by the McCann`s behaviour may soften a little.....

I would think so. Children should not be left alone, unfortunately, the child is probably paying the price for their poor judgement.
