What are you talking about? Female virgins today can conceive through invitrofertilization (spelling?), so why couldn't God impregnate a woman?

If God can speak the world into existent. don't you think he could have a virgin conceive a child?? Jesus needed to be born with no sin, that why he choose Mary, that and she was a faithful believer..

Aside of the fact that it is scientifically possible to become pregnant without rupturing the hymen (which is what determines whether or not some is a virgin by present standards); the word virgin, in my opinion, was misinterpreted by our modern conceptions. Originally the word meant one who had not been conquered by man...you could have sex and still be a virgin by this definition.

According to the flawed, man-made Bible, Jesus was conceived through the so-called "Holy Spirit". This is not the first historical claim to virgin birth. For me, this is all baloney.

The power of the most high overshadowed her. This is really no different than creating the first man from dust - God had to form his DNA not only without a father, but without a mother as well. If He has power to do this, isn't it conceivable that He has power to create a baby without a father if there is a mother?

Tthe answer to that and to many other unsolvable questions is "God is almighty and can do what the heck he likes" I believe. Christians correct me if I'm wrong. What I'd like to know is why Mary?
ETA: another question: if he can just "speak the world" into existence, why would he even need Mary to carry his divine Son? Couldn't he just bring them forth - like Adam & Eve?

The one who created life in the first place, placed the essence of the one we know as Jesus, into the womb of Mary.
There it developed.
Doctors can do the same with a petri dish.

God miraculously had her to concieve.... Jesus had to come on earth thru a different system in order to fullfill his purpose....had He been born from an embryo & a sperm ( as we all are) He would of been born to sin, as we all are....therefore could not/ would not of lived a sinless life...

When it gets right down to it, this is just a matter of faith. Without faith, all things are impossible, with faith there are no limits as to what God can do. It doesn'nt make me right or you wrong, it just makes our points of view different.
