Some time ago I got a message from Windows that said my virtual memory was too low and that it was increasing my page file. I looked up this error on Google and found out that it could be a memory leak. It made sense since my computer works well for about an hour until it decides my time is up and completely freezes while I'm in the middle of using it. I looked in my task manager, and pretty much every program I was using was guzzling up memory like it was a memory eating contest. Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger, iTunes, and even Windows Task Manager have all started increasing the virtual memory that they're using from the moment I start using until I finally close the program. I've seen IExplorer go up past 1,000,000 K VM Size, I've seen MSN Messenger go past 500,000 and I've seen Task Manager go up to 300,000. When I close the program, the program resets and starts using a normal amount of VM again, but starts using more and more as it goes until the computer freezes. Help!

Manually set your virtual memory. Mine is min and max 575. Works fine for as long as I've had computer.

How much physical RAM do you have?
I'd recommend at least 512mb, prefereable 1gb nowadays. Windows is only using virtual memory coz you don't have enough real memory.

Go and buy some more, its cheap nowadays:
USA: http://www.crucial.com/
UK: http://www.crucial.com/uk/

Enter your computer make and model and it'll show you compataible products only. Remember that your PC currently has some ram using its slots.
