I was on weight watchers with my mom and we both lost weight! the thing is about weight watchers is:
1) There are meeting and weigh-ins. If you're not comfortable with that, there's the thing online at their website that you can do it at instead
2) Not only is it good for losing weight and eating right, but it's also teaching how to exercise, feel good about yourself, if you get off of it, you can jump back on, and it teaches good discipline about writing things down of what you eat every day
Again, it's all about what fits you and how much work will be put in with a good attitude. with whatever diet or lifestyle you choose, always do it with an open mind and a smiling face! good luck on a diet! :D

First of all, you are not alone in this. Take a deep breath, it will be okay.
It's going to be hard to lose the weight, but it can be done. You need to get ahold on how many calories you are eating right now. Get a food journal going, tracking every single calorie that enters you mouth (measure out your portion sizes - you'd be amazed). You can do this online with a number of programs, or just use a pen and a notebook. Once you have an idea of how much you are eating, you can now cut back. Eating 500 fewer calories per day will cause you to lose 1 pound a week. (Switching 1 Tbsp of Mayo for 1 tsp of mustard saves 100 calories... having cauliflower with a chicken breast instead of mashed potatoes saves another 100... 200 if you put butter on them, 300 if the mashed potatoes were made with cream. Find these opportunities, and you can cut calories pretty quickly.)
Meanwhile, set aside some time for exercise. It does not have to be a lot. If you just schedule 7pm to 8pm as exercise time, and walk around the block a couple times, that's a fantastic start. You want to focus on establishing the habits at the beginning. As the weight comes off and you are finding these workouts to be easy, then you can dial up the intensity (and you still have the time carved out for exercise).
Oh, and get yourself some support - someone you can call when you feel the urge to make a batch of brownies or pick up a pint of Ben & Jerry's. A lot of weight gain is emotionally induced, and you need to be prepared for this. Good luck!

well okay if this will help :)
you can lose about 4-10 pounds by just walking on a treadmill for about 4 hours.
do all your workouts in the morning before you eat because then you are using stored fat for energy.
start pilates, crunches, bicicle kicks, pushups, ect. and use dumbells. visit a gym at least 4 times a week for an hour.
eat healthy!! drink non-fat milk and diet drinks. stay away from junk food! It will only come back to get you in the long run.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Talk to your doctor about help. My doctor prescribed Phentermine (under strict medical supervision, mind you) and I was able to lose 80 pounds. More importantly, I was able to stop eating fatty, sugary foods and kill my addiction to them so that when I stopped taking the pill, I didn't crave junk food all the time. My heart goes out to you; I hope you find the right solution for you and feel great! Check out Phentermine.com for more info on what to ask your doc about if you're interested.
