It varies. Some babies have started walking as early as 9 months and some took a year and a half. My son started walking regularly right on his 1st birthday.

Typically, a baby will take their first steps at around their first birthday. But remember that all babies reach milestones at a different pace. Some babies just don't like walking and prefer crawling (it's faster and takes less effort).
You'll know the baby is ready when he or she starts to pull himself up using furniture and cruising along while holding onto something.
If your baby is reaching his or her other milestones, such as crawling, don't worry about the walking. It's just a matter of time. Enjoy it now because the baby will be running soon and getting into *everything.*

The age of 1 is the average, but some kids don't walk until they are about 2

The normal age can vary vastly from about 8 to 18 months and depends on the individual child ,if they aren't walking after 18 months you should get them checked by a GP but this doesn't mean there is anything wrong necessarily.

Mine walked at 9 1/2 months (my son) and 10 months (daughter)
anywhere from 9 -15 months is in the normal range. If a child is not walking by 15-18 months they need to be seen by the pediatrician and/or specialist.

Close to the end of their first year. But not all children are the same, so don't expect yours to immediately get up and start walking around at the 11/12 month!

My daughter is 20 months and she has only been walking properly for about a month, my son has just turned 3, and he didn't start walking until 2 months after his 2nd birthday. There is no specific age when they start walking, they'll do it whenever they're ready for it.

Some start as early as 8 months, others well after they are 1. I think the average is about 1 year old.

Varies widely. We have three children. One started walking at 6 Months. 1 at a year, and one at over 18 months (we were older and I think everyone just carried her all the time).

We didn't find it made any difference ultimately.

Some as early as 9 months and others not until 15 months or so...depends on the kid, their motivation, and all kinds of other weirdness (kids are all about weirdness). If your baby is approaching 13 months and shows no desire to move on his/her own (no crawling, scooching, rolling etc) then ask the doctor, otherwise, try to be patient, you'll be running to stop you sweet little baby from certain doom soon enough.
