if unhealthy, and very new to spirituality in general.... energy body and all...?

Question

can my unbalanced energy field affect others? in other words, have i in a sense become a psychic vampire, and if so, how do i keep myself from unconsciously feeding off others, and how long does it take to master basic shielding if at all usefull

I think emotionally needy people tend to leech our energy, though they are unaware of this and they never mean to. That is why if we have been in the presence of someone who is upset or disturbed, we begin to feel tired and drained. There are lots of ways to protect yourself but the simplest is probably to sit very still, breathe deeply a few times and imagine you are surrounded by a bright blue light. Breathe it in and breath out your tension. Keep the light around you for as long as you can and tell yourself that no negativity can enter into you. Do this each morning or whenever you are in a stressful situation. If you feel that you are taking energy from someone else, consciously pull yourself back and try to stay within your own energy field. This is very basic and there are lots of books and people out there who can probably help you more. Hope I helped a bit. Good luck.

Pychic vampirism is more to do with using others than inadvertently draining their energy field. Yes, energy can be drained from someone if to long in their presence in "need" mode, it's just good to remember the "give and take" exchange with all people that you deal with.

People are not controlled by vampirism. You can't make someone sick unless their own immune system is vulnerable due to their own lifestyle, habits, etc, etc.

Edit: To add to this, when someone is venting at me, right away I separate myself emotionally from what they are saying, so as it doesn't become my problem. I'm just a listener. This is what people are looking for anyway. They don't need you to become emotionally involved with what they are saying. IT tends to get sticky, when you become involved on that level, and they drain you fast.

psychic vamps have certain signs about them. if someone asks you to do something in a way that you find yourself feeling guilty if you refuse you might be talking to a vamp. if you find yourself giving and no get in a relationship you might be talking about a vamp. i usually notice and take note of them the first few times. the truth is all relationships are give and take. just because someone gets something from you doesn't make them a vamp. if they take and don't give back, that is a vamp. these are signs in the material realm. i have noticed some that would appear to feed off other more psychological /spiritual things. it's hard to explain because in the court of law it wouldn't hold as evidence because it remains unseen. if you tried to explain to someone they might call the patty wagon. i would never repeat some of my experiences with this type. the bottom line is if they are and you don't meet their need they will move on to the next fix. imagination leaves alot of room for error. i find myself asking, "is this real or imagined?" your imagination can make or break you...

we can't 'comprehend' God or Ishwar. we are able to in basic terms conceptualize or think of. we are sure and constricted via area and time as consequently of which we have no experiential get right of entry to to any entity previous the confines of area and time...... and our God or Ishwar is defined in a manner that needless to say transcends the obstacles of time and area. Well I think this is all based on Mankind actually saying it is the great 'I AM' You are saying you are God in fact. You think the power is within when in fact the real power comes from outside where our heavenly Father resides. If you are feeding off of others then it is because in some way you are channeling spiritual power that are from a source other than God. So I would say waste no time in rejecting the occult ways you have indulged in however fascinating to you, and turn to Christ.
