There is not much difference, religiously, about Islam and Christianity. The Bible and Quran teach the basic principals, believe in the same God (but they call him Allah) and believe in the same prophets. Muslims dont go around blowing people up, extrimists do that. When Osama blew up the mountains in Afghanistan that had the Buddists carved into it, all the Muslim nations told him not to do that. I think people call Muslims terrorists because thats what the media wants you to think. And all this coming from a Christian.

There was something called the Crusades. Infact, there were two of them. Christians started the first one by the way. Lets try not to be hypocritical when answering this

yes but the muslims support it.
Even so called "moderate muslims" still support the terrorism although they don't openly condone it.
The crusades while wrong- and indirectly responsible for the rise of muslim extremism and seclusion from the real world- thus indirectly also bieng responsible for modern-day terrorism (although that might be too remote in time to actually point the finger and scream at a bunch of long dead priests who were full of themselves and involved in a power play with the throne), was not terrorism.
Sure there were heinuous acts that were comitted against muslims, jews and CHRISTIANS by the christian crusaders, however these attacks were not designed to target civilians in lieu of targeting the military as modern-day muslims do. They intentionally target civilians while ignoring the military. The crusaders, and muslims and every other army in medieval and prior times did butcher civilians so they could not fight against them. Today's climate is entirely different. Also that happened AFTER the defeat of the military, not just to target them.
People call muslims terrorists because the shoe fits. Thier society breeds and promotes the idea. Mothers publicly praise suicide bomber sons and say they are happy to lose children. Moderate muslims claim they don't support it but do nothing to change it and openly say one thing, but in reality they still provide financial and other aid to "extremists". The entire society is extreme.
The only muslims that are REAL muslims are 5%ers. The rest pigionhole themselves as terrorists through words and deeds. I'm not condemning them, they are. No more differently than jeffrey dhamer or son of sam or charles manson.

People who call Muslims terrorist are ignorant. There are over a billion Muslims and obviously all of them are not terrorist. The problem is that many of the terrorist who target US citizens claim Islam as their faith and use the faith of Islam as justification for their actions. The second problem is that Muslims do not as a rule condemn these people who kill Americans as a gesture of faith but instead condemn Americans for being suspicious of Muslims.
Imagine if a group of Christians claimed Christ told them to bomb Mosques. Every day this tiny group of Christians blew up another Mosque full of worshipers and left behind quotes from the bible. Christians all over the world just ignored them and said they were confused but didn't help you stop them at all. Some even gave them money for more bombs. Might you start being nervous about Christians after a while? That would be totally unfair of you right?

All Muslims are not terrorists, this is true... most Muslims are not terrorists.... true, however, the majority of violent attacks in the name of a religion (now that the IRA has quited down) come from Islamic extremists groups. These groups generally are not supported by Muslims, however 1/4th of young Muslims in the U.S.A. say that they think suicide bombings are OK in some situations that's a little shocking. The fact is Christian extremists can be quite mean, however, rarely turn to the violence of Islamic extremists.

I understand what you are saying. Of course not all muslims are terrorists. But its like one of those SAT questions. Some muslims are extremists, and some extremists are terrorists - does this make all muslims terrorists? Obviously no, but there is a link and people tend to associate one with the other because of the probability which is at this point in time higher than another group of peoples.

Stereotype. The recent 'big' terrorist acts have all been done by muslims, so its not far for the 'Public Logic' (not actual logic, more sensationalism) to go from All Terrorist I hear about are muslims - all terrorists are muslims - all muslims are terrorists
I had an Irish friend who said we should deport all muslims, for this reason. I pointed out to her that people were probably saying the same about the Irish at the time of the IRA.

Between the catholic church and islam, yes. As for Christianity, no. Christianity and religion have nothing in common.
Yes, it's true that not all muslims are terrorist. However, if they ever become a fundamentalist instead of being a "cherry picker", we would have a problem on our hands.
As for crusades, the catholic church had the first crusades against the Jews for not allowing mama to move from Rome to the Holy Land so it could set itself up as "God chosen church" for Christianity. That why the catholic church hates the Jews so much.
Up Date:
likebeinglost (13 below me), the IRA is catholic.
talleyma…(9 below me) The New World Order is ran by satan. It's by no means a surprise that islam support it--and so does mama.
Consider reading "Unmasking the New Age Movement," by Dr.Clarence Sexton
(1) The history of islam.
(2) The history of mama.

There is a HUGE difference between the beliefs.
True, there were crusades, and these people were misguided. People have done many wrong things thinking they were pleasing God.
So too these terrorists. All the terrorists are muslim, right?
I don't see too many of the non-extremist muslims condemning their actions! They must be in agreement with them then, right?
I suppose they just keep quiet because they don't want to be their next target.

Well, in recent history, the main fountain of terrorist has been in the Muslim religion. I'm far from believing that all people of the Islam faith are terrorist. But, I can understand how people can derive that idea if they saw that all perpetrators of nine-eleven were claiming Jihad, which is loosely prescribed by Islam, and therefore they believed that all Muslims must be terrorist by way of their religion.

I don't think that the majority of people call Muslims terrorists. Extremists from any faith are terrorists, it is only because of the conflicts in the middle east and the terrorists attacks we have experienced were down to extremist muslims. This is how people have gained this stereotype.

"The Believers are but a single Brotherhood." [Al-Hujurat 49:10] "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not oppress him, nor does he leave him at the mercy of others." [Sahih Muslim]. "The Believers, in their mutual love, mercy and compassion, are like one body: if one organ complained, the rest of the body develops a fever." [Bukhari & Muslim] The ummah is psychologically very close to each other, what harms one Muslims, harms all Muslims because we love each other for sake of Allah. He has made us family and put that bond between us.
