I am looking for inexpensive accommodations within a block or two of the South Building (off Bremner) of the Toronto Convention Center. A place with very large rooms or suites to accommodate 4 women. We are coming the second week of August and as we are not young women, air conditioning is a must!! There are 8 of us, so we will need 2 rooms. Internet would be very nice. Buffet breakfast also would be a treat. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've found most of the hotels listed on tourism websites, I can't tell how far a walk it is, or if they are close to the South Building.

Bed & Breakfast or Inns, something inexpensive is good, but must be within a block or two of the South Building. Some of the ladies are in their 50's with back issues.

Thanks

The Ramada Plaza ( http://www.resideo.com/33845334.hotel ) is probably your best bet. It's within 7 blocks of all the major sites (including the convention center), and they have an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also offer free wireless internet access. You can read more about the hotel, view pics, check rooms/rates & book online at the link above.

Hope that's just the right place for you -- good luck, and have a great trip!

There are a couple of hotels connected to the Hynes Convention Center - a Marriott and a Sheraton both are very nice hotels but are expensive if you are paying for it on your own. Also there is a Westin and a Hilton and probably a dozen other hotels within a couple blocks.

since there are 8 of you, you need a hotel that is close by. if you go further you might save $50.00 but you will pay it back in transportation cost. The closest hotel to the convention centre is the Intercontinental hotel.

Not inexpensive but the location is perfect for you - much closer than the other hotels that have been suggested.

Hope that helps!
