They live in Alaska or on the Moon or are the native Americans, depending on what period of Mormon history you are referring too.

The lost tribes is a myth (in all the senses of the term). On the one hand, it grew within Judaism because of a reluctance to acknowledge the legitimacy of the Samaritans as heirs to the people of the Northern kingdom of Israel. But the Samaritans still exist today and have maintained their identity, and are surely descendants of the Israelites who once inhabited the northern Kingdom. They have their own stories of returning from exile, whereas the Jewish version claims other people who were not Israelites were settled in the region (which may be true, if not the whole truth).
Also, after the fall of Samaria to the Assyrians, many of its inhabitants fled south as refugees. Their descendants would today be considered 'Jewish' but their ancestry may in fact include members of the northern tribes.

Many groups claim to descend from specific Lost Tribes. These include:
Bene Ephraim (from southern India) - claim descent from the Tribe of Ephraim
Bnei Menashe (from northeast India) - claim descent from the lost Tribe of Manasseh
Beta Israel, also known as Falashas - Ethiopian Jews some of whom claim descent from the lost Tribe of Dan
Persian Jews (especially the Bukharan Jews) claim descent from the Tribe of Ephraim
Igbo Jews of Nigeria claim descent variously from the tribes of Ephraim, Menasseh, Levi, Zebulun and Gad

None of the tribes are lost -- God knows exactly where they are.
The only thing that's certain is that none of these tribes are any of the Gentile nations, as some churches teach (for example, that England is Ephraim and the U.S. is Manasseh).

Israel chop up into 2 kingdoms after the demise of Solomon. The North replaced into reported as "Israel" and replaced into extra beneficial and richer, yet extra susceptible to attack. The South replaced into reported as Judah, and lined the territory of Judah and Benjamin. The Northern Kingdom replaced into destroyed via Assyria and the inhabitants replaced into completely deported to someplace in Syria, the place there replaced into intermingling with locals, and a few later decrease back to the previous components the place they lived, yet had blended ideals and blended blood. Its exciting although that for the period of Luke it does point out somebody from the tribeof Asher so some ought to have not lost their identity.

Danites, they were last seen crossing the plains, with guns, escorting the Mormons out of Illinois. Don't expect them in the rapture, they were omited from the tribal lists that make up the 144,000.
