My Bible says man was created a little less than God. Yours says "little less than Angels." Which is true?

Are we less than Angels or are Angels less than people? How about a reference to your position?

An American Translation renders Psalm 8:5 to read:
“Yet thou hast made him but little lower than God.”
S. T. Byington, translates it:
“And you have made him little short of God.”
Moffatt’s translation reads:
“Yet thou hast made him little less than divine.”
The New World Translation reads:
“You also proceeded to make him a little less than godlike ones.”
Any help?

Well, I'm not sure if you mean you are of a different religion, or you just have a different version of the Bible.

But since you say Angels is capitalized, it may be referring to Jesus, who is referred to in the Old Testament as teh Angel of the Lord.

Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels did He ever say, "Sit at My right hand, until I put Your enemies [as] Your footstool?" [Psalm 110:1]
Heb 1:14 They are all spirits of spiritual service being sent out to render service for the sake of the ones being about to be inheriting salvation, are they not?

What does it matter? Will having a definitive answer change how you act or make you a better person to be around? Will it solve the major discrepancies in the Bible?

Why would I wish to believe in a god that plays favorites amonst his creatures?
