I think we can rule out swimmers ear, because dizziness is not a symptom of an outer ear infection. It could be middle ear infection. Does your ear hurt? Do you have a fever? Is there any drainage from your ear? Are you nauseated? All of these things can be symptoms of a middle ear infection. If you are having these symptoms, your doctor can prescribe some medications for you.
It could also be what is called positional hypotension, which means that your blood pressure suddenly drops when you change positions from lying to sitting and from sitting to standing.
Typically positional hypotension is caused by dehydration. If you are very active but aren't drinking enough fluids to replace what you've lost, you will be dehydrated to a certain extent. Most Americans are chronically dehydrated in fact. The way to check for this is to look at the color of your urine the next time you go to the bathroom. If your urine is anything but clear to light yellow, you aren't drinking enough water.
Avoid drinks with caffeine or alcohol, because both of these cause your body to lose fluids faster than normal.
Ultimately, only your doctor can tell you for sure what is causing this. I just gave you the two simplest answers, and that's based only on what you've posted. Have your health care provider check you out, and you'll be in better shape.

There are a number of ailments that could cause this: low blood sugar, inner ear infection, drop in blood pressure and dehydration just to name a few. Regardless, you should consult with your doctor to make sure that something more serious isn't going on. You may want to try drinking fruit juice or eating part of a candy bar during the day until you have a chance to make an appointment. In the meantime, take your time getting up from a laying or sitting position.
Take care and see your doctor.

I deal with this a lot, too, if I'm hungry. For me, low blood pressure and low blood sugar cause these feelings. Occasionally, I even faint because of it. To deal with it, I make sure to eat small amounts of food frequently to keep my blood sugar and blood pressure at even levels. It also prevents the dizziness. I also get up slowly when I've been sitting or laying for a while.

You could have an ear infection or you may just need to hydrate.
I used to get that way and my doctor told me to drink a soda or eat a piece of candy to raise my sugar level.

This could be low blood pressure or hypoglycemia. Something is wrong and you need to see your medical doctor as soon as possible and get an examination.
