HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA.

have you lost your mind? why are you telling everyone that you stole an illegal copy of windows?!?!?!??!

would you steal a tv from walmart, then return it to customer service and say, WELL, I STOLE it but I don't like it. can I exchange it?

Anyway, upgrading isn't always the best Idea (the newest version isn't always the best version)

just be happy you have win amp v? and media player v? and a $600 copy of windows for FREE!!!!

No wonder I gotta pay hundreds of dollars for a legal copy of Windows! Your best bet now is to format that HDD, and go to tigerdirect.com and get a LEGAL OEM version of WinXP Pro for $140! Then you can get the upgrades and updates LEGALLY!

No, Microsoft is too strict when it comes to these matters. I suggest that you use the open source VLC Media Player, it's great!!!

GOM Player is really nice too.

It will ask you to validate your version of windows to check for its authenticity, so legally, no.
