Installing Windows XP Pro?

I'm installing Windows XP PRO Student Edition on my laptop. My laptop has A recovery partition on it. Will it give me the option to keep that partition, or will it erase it totally?

Ok. . . I will need to know which partition it is! I have no idea.

you should be given a choice of which partition you would like to install on during installation.

make sure you know which one is which and you should be fine.

It will give you the option to keep the partition.
