In short, yes. Many do.
The way I see it is that many of them cannot help it, the same way pedophiles and other such people cannot. It is an incredible testimony to me that the effect sin has had on the world permeates everywhere, even the human psyche.
There have been stories of many being healed from homosexuality; but there have also been stories of people stuggling with it their entire lives, deciding to remain celebate. She should not give up home. God may yet deliver from it.
Asking the pastor to pray for her is a very good idea. If she wants, she could also be anointed. It would be good for you to pray for her if you haven't already; and keep doing it.
It would be nice if more of the congregation could pray for her and councel her, but the sad truth is that many may not be understanding or accepting of her (yes, we Christians can be disgusting at times), so it may be best to keep it as secret as you can.
All the best for you and your friend.

i think christians struggle with homosexuality more so than say, an atheist, because something that they feel is a part of them is considered a sin. as an atheist you are able to determine whether things are right or wrong on a larger moral standpoint, as opposed to what a god, book, or religion tells you is right or wrong. an atheist may also struggle with their sexuality, but not because of the guilt that religion imparts. having her delve deeper into religion will not change who she is, and praying for her, is a nice sentiment, but again, won't help her. instead of talking to a pastor, she should see a counselor who can help her sort things out.

Well, if this is a serious question, you should know that just because somebody accepts Christ into their heart does not mean their flesh doesn't continue to struggle with sin of ANY kind. In fact, they probably struggle harder because now they are convicted of the sin in their lives because they want to live holy lives for God. The truth is that the closer we draw to God, the harder the devil works to get us back. We have to CHOOSE to follow the Holy Spirit instead of giving in to wrong desires of the flesh.

well first off , some one said "of course the bible says its a sin , (something about not wanting that life style)"
ok sexuality is not a lifestyle i think is affending to say that because most ppl think because some one is gay or bi or les then they must be having sex with every one or the sex they like , or they cheat on who there with , or they are just sexualy active , i think everyone as questions on there head weather its right or wrong , if she doesnt feel comfortable with being a lesbian and wants to change it then help her show her love and be by her , but if shes try'n and she still feels the same then dont force anything ,ppl need to accept the fact that its human nature to be curious or be different , it comes natural to some ppl like straight ppl feel about the opposite sex ,

Evidence in labs have shown that homosexuality is a function of population. She doesn't need to be delivered. The same chapter that condemns homosexuality also says cripples can go to church and that shellfish are abominations. Also don't even LOOK at a woman during her period. Leviticus had alot of dumb rules tell here to forget it and life a good life in HER eyes

There is no one size fits all. Some like your girl friend recognize their natural desires, but accept the judgment of others about it. Sad!
Others deny their natural desires even to themselves. These are the ones who project their subconscious self loathing onto others rather than facing themselves. It is listening to these hateful people that causes your girl friend her self doubts. These are the people to truly pity.

Jesus says "In this world you will face trials, tribulations, and persecutions. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world."
Maybe she, now as a Christian is starting to grow in holiness and the Holy Spirit is now revealing her sins against a Holy God. Ask her to pray and let Jesus work through her and submit to His will, not her own lusts.

Lesbianism is natural.
Religion is a lifestyle, the way a person wants to live.
