A novel of course! I've been to several countries n have the same idea of u too. Once, my pen pal introduce some interesting books to me n I find it quite enjoying to read on plane. I prefer detective novels n Chinese Kongfu ones. The author Jing Yong has written many novels that attracted many people! Try it n enjoy your trip.

I did an overnight flight from NYC to Rome once when I was in high school and it was definitely ridiculously long! going and coming. Not as long as yours though. some tips I found helpful are to bring books and games. if you have an ipad any smart tablet you can download games, books, magazines etc. a pillow and a blanket are definitely must haves. you'll regret not bringing them. the neck rest is better than a regular pillow because your neck needs some stability and you don't want cramps. make sure you walk around and stretch because with a full day of activities you don't want to be in any pain from sitting for such a long flight.

There will be movies on the plane.

I'm sure your rolling your eyes now, but I travel a lot on planes and nothing makes the time go faster than a good book. Not knowing what you might be interested in, but for me something like a Da Vinci Code or Steven King would keep me interested for hours.

Turn on your iPod, crack the book and the next thing you know you'll be in paradise.

Most airlines have a tv in the chair, or possibly an in flight movie. :) When I flew to Ireland last month there was one and it was brilliant... :) but if not...maybe a good thick book? :)
