nobody really knows for sure. All we know is that we do need sleep or bad things happen. I think dreams are a way for your subconcious mind to comunicate with your concious mind. Is like a way for your mind to work out the day to day events that you experience. Most dreams are meaningless. They are based on the things you see or hear on a day to day. Things like t.v.v or asong you heard or something somebody said. The environment also affect dreams. For example, if you left the window open and a cold breese comes into your room your dream may change to something cold related.

If you have a recuring dream then its a different story. A recoring dream usually means an issue in your life that has not yet been solve. It could be something very imprtant or something very trivial. I would pay some attention to recurring dreams to find what they are trying to tell you.

Here is one exampe. Lets say you have a recuring drea where you are carrying something heavy and your back aches. Note that in recuring dreams the heavy item may change. SOmethimes is a bag, sometimes, is a person, bricks a cross etc etc. It will personalized for you. Anyways, what is the meaning of this dreams. To solve the puzzle what you have to do is think to your current personal cituation. Maybe, you have too many bills and you think is too heavy of a burden. Maybe your back has been hurting and the dream is trying to tell you that the cause of your injusrie is lifting things inproperly. Maybe you forcee harsh times ahead. Maybe you think that what you are doing right now is useless and is dragging you down. You rather do something else that would allow you more freedom of movement. You see it has to do with the way you think and how you view the world. Then again, it could be nothing. Just a dream of carying stuff. Maybe you work for amoving companny eh! and your dream is just reflecting on your daily routine.

Dreams are usually a result of something that happened in the daytime that your mind tries to make sense of, build on , fantasies or even tries to get some answers to in the night, when you're asleep.

For example, if you have a fear for dogs, you might dream of fierce dogs chasing you.

You have a crush for someone, you may dream of marrying the person or having a romantic relationship.

Sometimes, dreams are just nothing but the subconscious mind at work when your consious mind is at rest.

I would'nt bother too much about dreams unless it is something recurring or scary.

Dreams can be as complex as your subconscious telling the waking mind what it is really feeling or as simple as your brain doing a trash run to dump the junk of the day

Dreams are from your subconsicous mind. It reflects your inner personalities. They are affected by media effect such as tv, movie, actual events, and daily experience. Most of the time it reveals your true self. But, sometimes, it can pre-monitor of something that happens in the future, but not too many people have that gift.

Dreams are your subconscious working out things that really bother you, or something that you think about alot. It is your body's way of answering questions, or dealing with something.

Your sub-conscience mind never sleeps. So you get symbolic dreams that correlates and sorts out what your conscience mind has been processing all day.
