why did JC do that?

Revelation 20:11-15 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

It is not speaking of a literal lake of fire...this is representing death. There is going to be a resurrection of righteous & unrighteous. Those that have not come to know of Jehovah & who didnt have a chance to serve him before death, will be given this chance. Why, would God, a God of love banish someone to pain for all eternity??? That is the biggest misconception out there, heaven for the good & hell for the bad...soo many were taught this by false prophets...."Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because may false prophets have gone forth into the world." 1John 4:1

Dark Knight,
I find NO scriptural reference that says "All non-Christians are sentenced to eternal torment in Hell". This you are saying without any scriptural basis. I do believe that if you have been taught the WORD that you are bound to follow it and becoming a Christian is a part of it. GOD is the FATHER and Jesus is HIS SON. You truly need to be cautious about asking such a question to draw GOD's CHILDREN away from HIM. That is not something that you will want to answer for in the Judgment. CHRIST will return at that time to judge each of us. Will YOU be ready?? I certainly plan to be! Have a wonderful week. Read, study, and obey HIS WORD.
Thanks,
Eds

You don't know that, he said there judged according to their works, not according to if you are any other religion. You just interpreted in a way that makes him seem bad when he is not, but all that scatter his sheep will have their place in the lake of fire, right behind the anti-christ.

Excuse me, but it doesn't say anything about non-Christians being sentenced to hell, it says "and the dead were judged out of those things......according to their works." 'And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
That doesn't say NOT ONE WORD about Non-Christians going to hell !!!!
Maybe it means if you Judge others your name won't be
written in the book of life!!!
I'd be careful if I were you.
Hey, Pjerry...... PLEASE, don't generalize!!!! NOT ALL Christians do it.

True. Why wouldn't He do it? They had their chance to be redeemed and chose to go their own way. God is a perfect God and therefore cannot accept anyone who is less than perfect to spend an eternity with. We can only become perfect in Christ.

NewCatholic - how DO you read this? It is very clear that those who do not accept Christ will spend eternity in hell. (lake of fire)

Do not condemn a doctor for offering you the cure for the disease that would kill you! Jesus paid the ultimate price to die for our sins, so we can believe-had these Scriptures been given without the offer of his salvation it would be hopeless.

Messiah Jesus is my savior and best friend, and that helps me to share his salvation that others may believe too, and be rescued as I was from the judgement to hell.

John 3= repented of sin and got born again, asking him into my heart to be my friend, amen.

dont let the storm keep you from the shelter, prayin for you too, David

I believe Jesus takes alot of things into consideration and if you led a good moral life I don't believe your doomed to go to hell and I'm a catholic, maybe theres a reason they never knew a religion or chose one but thats my belief.
