Basically nothing. If you tell someone you need some noodles, they'll ask what kind of noodle do you want? Then you can say spaghetti/egg/macaroni/whatever. But if you just say you need spaghetti, then it's already clear what shape you want. It's like "noodle" is just another name for pasta, you still have to clarify what kind you want. I only say "noodle" when referring to egg noodles and Asian food.

A noodle is a thin strip of pasta, usually cut or extruded from some kind of dough. It is the basic unit in dishes like spaghetti, linguine, soba, and udon. The term often refers to moist, cooked pasta, since it has connotations of curviness and slipperiness, but also to dried noodles that must be reconstituted by boiling or soaking in water. The word noodle derives from Latin nodus (knot), via German Nudel (noodle, pasta).

Not a lot. Marco Polo brought back noodles from the East to Italy when he was exploring. It was then adapted and became pasta.
