It's taken me ages to answer this ... I have been laughing too much at some of the answers. There are clearly some Christians who have never actually opened even the most basic science textbook.
Actually, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at someone citing the Loch Ness monster as proof of the veracity of the Bible ... it's really funny, but also so, so sad.
UPDATE: oh please stop! That quotation you added is just too funny ... how could anyone with a brain believe that? Oh and it also scares me ... please, no-more!

People often find it so hard to believe that dinosaurs were on the Ark with Noah as portrayed by the Creation museum...I have actually been studying this and what I have found is that, yes dinosaurs were on the ark...God wasn't going to choose old animals that had already reproduced...he chose baby animals...or adolesent animals because they were ideal canidates for reproduction...dinosaurs are small when they are babies...just like all other animals. As for how they didn't kill and eat each other...Christian schollars are now suggesting that God might have put them in a form of hybernation during the storm. As for dinosaur bones being placed as deception...hello...crocodiles and alligators are modern day dinosaurs...kimodo dragaons...lockness monster...dinosaurs are still here...some species have become extinct...but they are still alive.

My friend, If youll read the Book of Job you will find an animal called a bahemoth... and this animal has the dicription of a brantosaurus. 90% of the dinosaurs were the size of a cow or smaller... Satan, and please listen... Satan cannot create anything!!!! That would be a truth, He is the Father of lies...
There were dinosaurs, The bible clearly states that... But they died out in Noahs flood.

that has got to be the most redicules thing I have ever heard. The argument of whether there were dinosaurs or not is totally irrelevent. The bible, for one thing speaks about large lizards, plus there is no time line in the old testament so there could have been a whole block of time that we know nothing about. This argument is a waste of time.

There is no Satan. There were large animals on the Earth at one time. I have no idea if humans lived with dinosaurs and am not worried about it.

If God would place dino bones (or allow them to be placed) to deceive & trick (uh test our faith) Then that trickiness is a part of his nature, how can we trust him in other revelations?
*hops on soapbox* I believe that God may exist and has revealed bits of himself from the spiritual realm throughout history. It is unfortunate that man has misused, misinterpeted, & misapplied religion many to further many of thier own purposes, both consciously & unconsciously

I never believed the bones were placed by Satan.
Our mythology, world wide, indicates the existence of monstrous creatures that could fit the role of dinosaurs throughout history.
(fire-bird, thunder-bird, dragons....)

No one I know subscribes to that theory.
Most evangelicals believe that the dinosaurs coexisted with man, until shortly after the flood, then died off because of the change in the earth.

When I was growing we used to have a tyranosaurus rex fossil (mostly clay actually) on display in the Uni building my dad worked in, held up with wires. Awesome and scary.
They've now moved it to the front entrance hall, like the "Jurassic Park" film vestibule.
