Since Able was killed, his lined stopped there. Cain had plenty of descndents; are we from that murderer?

Remember Adam and Eve gave birth to Seth after Able's death and Cain's banishment to Nod. From Seth, Noah became. Then everyone, including generations from Cain, were wiped out in the flood except for Noah and his immediate family. Future generations then propagated from Noah's lineage. But keep in mind, Adamic (original) sin was not completely cleansed away with the flood. It was and still is in our humanity, until Christ died to make it possible for us to cleave it off under His blood. (I could go on, but that's out of the scope of the question).

Blessings to you!

Hmm... interesting that Christians should focus their concentration on the 'Original Sin' of Eve eating the fruit of knowledge or whatever heinous act she performed, and tend to ignore this horrific act by our putative ancestor.

Why is it that we are all tainted by Eve's sin, but apparently get a free pass on Cain's fratricide?

It depends, which side of the tracks inspire you the most? Did you not know that Adam&Eve had a third child named {SETH} like a boy? Actually [Seth] was a boy with the mind of a great seeker, visionary and inventor of the {Arts}. See, you learn something new every day, i guess?

Being that Cain is the son of the Prophet Adam (PBUH), I'd rather think of being the descendant of a Prophet.

i don't think adam and eve, and cain, were the only people alive when cain killed abel. who was cain talking about when he said "others" would kill him for what he had done?

there had to have been other people somewhere that already existed.

ALL have sinned and fall short of God's glory- so in essence we are descendants of a sinner- and we are one too, that is why, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life is Jesus Christ our Lord.

I think there's a mention of a Seth so who knows who were descended from. I think there are 'monkeys' with better morals, though. :-)
