Well, skipping breakfast tricks your body into starvation mode where it won't burn off fat as quickly, which isn't what you want. Breakfast and lunch should be your largest meals of the day with a smaller dinner (since there is less time to burn off those calories before sleeping.
Now if you're trying to bulk up like a boxer or wrestler trying to make weight or a bodybuilder, then do the opposite- eat heavier meals later.
As for your first poster, that's funny. Hunter-gatherers didn't have a choice! It usually took them all day of climbing over rocky hillsides, running from predators etc. to gather enough vegetables or finally kill a rabbit or deer, to have that meal later in the day! They burned a lot of calories doing that stuff, they didn't sit at desks all day! They didnt have an epidemic of type 2 diabetes or obesity in their children, but today we do!! The environment has changed drastically since the pre-agricultural days, but our genetics have not (the body still switches into calorie conservation mode when breakfast is skipped, which helped those ancient hunters, but not us)- that's the problem.
How old is your cousin? In the teenage years, many people have fast metabolisms so they stay skinny no matter what how or what they eat. But when they hit their mid 20's and 30's, the metabolism slows down and eating the same way they always did results in weight gain.

No, ultimately at the end of the day what matters is how many calories you burn relative to how many you take in.
Skipping breakfast however will have a huge impact on your body composition. When you skip meals your body will break down your muscle for fuel. So yes you can be skinny by skipping meals, but you will be and look unhealthy and lanky.

Skipping breakfast can result in over eating at lunch. Your body has ben without food all night and needs nutrition. You dont have to eat a heavy breakfast... light fruit. yogurt. simple toast with juice or tea.. these r fine. ur cousin has a high metabolic rate but still needs nourishment!

It doesn't make you fat, but if you do have more fat on you, skipping a meal will make your body go into "starvation" mode and will start burning the good fat instead of the bad fat for energy. Eating breakfast will keep your body's metabolism working right and burning the bad fat for energy.

Eating early can jumpstart your metabolism. If you skip it your body can go into "starvation" mode and produce more fat (from sugers) so you don't starve.
Don't worry about your cousin because that's not U. Just because she's skinny doesn't mean she's healthy.
