Losing a child was always my worst nightmare, and unfortunately, I did end up having a miscarriage about a year and a half ago. I had a very hard time for a while, but eventually I did move on. Luckily, I also have a 4 year old daughter, and if it weren't for her, I don't know what I'd do.

When I was growing up, my mother would tell me that the worst thing in life was to get old and look back on your life and wish you had tried.
This means to wish that you had really tried to be a better person or parent, tried a profession that you thought you'd love, tried to forgive, tried to walk through your fears, tried to stand up for what you believed in, etc.
It's the best thing that she ever taught me. I have a healthy fear of regret. I know that now is the time to be the kind of person that I want to be and have the kind of life that I want. My worst nightmare is to get old and look back at my life and wish I had just put forth the effort to try.

The worst nightmare would be finding out the whole story about Christ is true and then dying and finding myself living with unrelinquishing torment in hell because I rejected Him. Thank God I found Jesus.
