Regardless of whether or not you agree with the war, I think it's still important to support our troops. They risk their lives on a daily basis to protect the freedoms that many of us take for granted. So, I'm curious to see what you do to show your support.
I've sent care packages. I stop every person in uniform I see, just to thank them - I frequent the DFW airport, so that's not an easy task if you've ever been there.....thank goodness for long layovers and flight delays, LOL!
I offer to buy coffee, lunch, etc for people in uniforms.
They all tell me they don't hear many people thanking them - I want to do as much as possible. Any new ideas for me?
If you're looking to insult the war or our troops, don't bother, nobody wants to hear you.

I keep my political opinions OUT of my support of the troops. Doesn't matter if you love or hate Bush, the troops really don't give a hoot. Our men and women need to know that we're not making our excuses for them, regardless what side of the political fence you're on.

My husband is retired Air Force (I'm a Navy Vet), and we host all the "single" guys on the base over at the house once a month or so to make sure they have a good meal and a place to go. They all call me "Mom", and I make sure they have what they need from day to day.

For the guys who are on deployment, they get jokes, emails, cards and care packages for birthdays and whatnot. For our married guys on deployment, I make a point to touch base with the wives and kids to make sure they know they're not in this alone and have everything they need (including some down time from the kids).

Family knows no boundaries, and we make sure that all of our extended family is taken care of. Stateside or otherwise.

I fly my flag and we are on our fourth flag. I put it out the afternoon of 9/11. I also belong to a yahoo group who gave me a link at the start of the war to a place called virtualarmory.com. At one time, they were giving away bracelets that reads HONORING AN AMERICAN HERO SERVING IN THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD. My daugter's boyfriend was going to Iraq so I purchased one for him in honor of him. All I had to do when I got the bracelet was register the number and the name of the soldier. I was going to take the bracelet off when he came home in March of 2005 but I decided to keep wearing it until all the men and women came home.

I love my husband all I can. I send him pictures of our kids. I send him other things he asks for that make his life easier. I joined a gym so when he returns he'll have a nice surprise! I write him daily. I let him know we are always here for him and will always be here for him.

I keep in touch with the other wives who's husbands are with him. I let them know that someone is thinking about them and if they need anything I will do what I can to help.

we are able to perfect teach our help for our troops by potential of making somewhat particular that they have the very perfect weapons, the perfect munitions, and the perfect shielding kit (physique & vehicular) a risk to acquire and safeguard their protection! Prayers will continuously help! we are able to honor our Veterans by potential of making particular that they have the very perfect scientific interest in all probability in the event that they suffered any injuries whilst in the army and that they could proceed with their preparation and employment while they return living house - without help of their scientific alowances like what Bush has finished!

I think joining is the ultimate. If not, buy a ribbon, write letters, vote for a better president. A phone call helps...vist perhaps but thats risky for the civilian!

We volunteer at the VFW. We also thank every person we see in uniform, and in the DC area, there are a lot of them!

I write , I raise money, i help out at our local hospital.. and above all I pray for them nightly. It is not very much considering what they are doing for us.

And I will vote for anyone who will get them out of this quagmire that Bush has them in.
