Early spaying on young dogs makes them prone to bladder leaks among other things. Do some research on the subject. You might be able to use some homeopathic herbs to strengthen the bladder but if she was spayed young she might just be one of the MANY in statistics with this issue. I do not ever recommend spaying before 9 or 10 months.

Let a vet give you the peace of mind you need. There are too many possibilties with this problem. It could be anything simple like a urinary tract infection to something much more serious. I love my dog, too, and know you'd be kicking yourself later if you made the wrong choice and something happened to your dog. Let that vet help you make the right choice, which is well worth a one-time visit cost, right? Good luck. Irish Setters are beautiful.

I have a doberman pincher who is almost 11 years old and she has had a bladder issue for many years. One time she was asleep on the couch and I smelled urine. I went over to her and my whole couch was soaked with urine. We took her to the vet and he said she had a bladder infection, So we gave her the antibiotics and she was still leaking urine. So we took her back again and the Dr. said that sometimes full breed dogs can have problems like this. Our doberman is fixed as well so the Dr. suggested that we put her on some hormones and it worked! She took the hormones for about 2 years and she is fine now except for an occasional leak, but nothing like before.

I think you should go to the vet it can be major. She could be diabetic or something like that i think you should definatly get it cheaked out that or they can give you a medication to help it control it.

Sounds like a UTI. You should have her vet-checked.
