Right now I have a 1979 Dodge Ram Charger but its too rusted. I want a 1990s model like it (Bronco, full size Blazer, Ykon, etc). Should I look at a K1500 Blazer with 290,000 + miles? I assume with that many miles, the engine has been reworked/replaced, the current owner doesnt know. Is it worth investigating? I just want it for weekend work and hauling a bit (like my dogs), not a daily driver.

Yah i'd have to agree with everybody else here. There are a million used cars on the market right now. Stay away from this one. Even if you don't use it everyday, I can't imagine the maount of money it will require down the road.

I wouldn't even consider it....I imagine that with the track record of that vehicle it has had the engine replaced.....however, without distinct knowledge of how many miles are on that engine I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole

You know how little mpg the ramcharger gets, the K5 is also bad, TBI and all. The best mpg I got out of my old 79 ramch was 15. And that was on a real good day.
