I'm pretty clueless when it comes to all this stuff.

I want quality speakers that are under $100 per pair. What should I get? Should I get 8" or 6.25"?

What amp should I get to go with it (quality but decent price) ? What wall controls? Anything else I need?

If anything, point me to a website with good prices and variety.

Total package under $2000.

You can put togther a very good system for close that price..

Paradigm PV-150 in wall $149.00 a pair x 8 $1100.00
Pioneer Elite VSX-82TXS A/V Reciever $1050.00
This will control all speakers and will provide ample power.

For speaker wire look at Blue Jeans Cables, great price and very good quality

Start shopping the catalogs. J&R music world, Crutchfield MCM Electronics. You are not going to get great audio from ceiling mounts no matter what. Pyle speakers are good and reasonable in price. Since you won't be in 8 rooms at once you can save some on the amp, make sure you can turn off the speakers individually.
