Hi; OBO usually is placed after a price in an ad for selling a car and means "or best offer"; ie: 1995 chevy for sale, asking $4,000 OBO . In other words, this person would like to get $4000 but is willing to accept less, that being the most offered UNDER the $4,000 price. Hope this helps, good luck
Mike

"Or Best Offer"

What this means is, the seller has a suggested sales price and there is an opportunity for you to negotiate a lower price.

Here is an example: If you want to buy a car that is selling for $4000 and you offer the seller $3500, you just negotiated your first sales transaction. The seller was willing to accept a "best offer" price of $500 less than the asking price.
