The quickest way would be by Rail......but NOT the cheapest.
Do not attempt it.
You do not say when you are travelling. So, if you can avoid Friday and Saturday.
Then travel by National Express. Go via London Victoria. Then DIRECT coach. Book the RETURN JOURNEY on ONE ticket. £20. If you qualify, get an over 50s pass. Then get 10% off.

In a travel context, "cheapest" and "quickest" are not compatible as the quickest is usually the most expensive and the cheapest is the slowest
