I'm sure they are out there. From what I seen of black churches, they talk about overcoming their hardships and persevering to overcome(i.e. the white devil). It must be a painful, difficult situation to live in a world where you feel this way. Are there black lead churches out there who say that the debt the white race owes to the black race is cancelled? I wold like to know who.

Hey the past is the past, What goes around comes around. And Not to mention that the tribes in Africa sold their enemies into slavery in the first place. I personally don't care if they preach forgivness or not because not one slave or slave owner is alive today so nobody has anything to apologize about.

ALL ministers should be preaching the word of God...and that is forgiveness of EVERYONE. It is impossible to be a true Christian without practicing forgiveness of ALL. NOBODY owes ANYBODY anything except love. If a pastor / minister is preaching that one race owes something to another, he is NOT preaching the Word of God. He's preaching a very self-centered point of view, and self has no place in the center of Christianity. The center is reserved for CHRIST ALONE.

No...that doesn't mean you don't have to pay the bills or can just take whatever you want. Use some common sense; of course we owe our mortgages, bill collectors, taxes, etc. Jesus said to 'give to Caesar what is Caesar's". But we can't undo the past and EVERYBODY in the United States has EQUAL rights now, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, religion, etc.

You must attend an awful lot of black churches to know this much about what is preached there, dude. This is such a loaded question that I don't even know where to begin answering it, especially since I'm between religions myself, but...

It may come as a surprise to you, but most black people just don't think about white people as such all that much. There are plenty of ministers who preach racial reconciliation, and plenty more who teach personal responsibility, i.e. not blaming one's problems and shortcomings on racism if they're not actually caused by racism. And it may surprise you to know that racism *still exists!* Your clueless, condescending question is a pretty decent example.

we attended an all black church (we were the only 'white' people there) and it was such an awesome service. they were not bound by anything but the Holy Spirit... forgiveness is from God for all people, no color is important to the Lord! My family was blessed so much by this church and the whole congregation (150+) came up and greeted us and hugged us.... They were not hung up on color or 'debt' owed because you cannot be completely forgiven unless you have forgiven all debts.... do not stereotipically generalize, because 'all' people do not hold 'all generalizations' based on color or race or gender as reasons to be imbittered towards others

I've been in black churches for years and have never heard anyone say anything about "white devils." That is the Nation of Islam. Most black preachers tell people to persevere over all obstacles (they don't blame racism for all of them) with God, and to work hard and love people.

Making society right and correcting racism doesn't happen over night. It is still developing.

T.D. Jakes preaches self reliance and accountability, I have even heard him say that blaming the white man for everything is what keeps people in a state of poverty.

I am not a Christian, but his message definitely has some redeeming qualities.

All ministers have an obligation to teach forgiveness since Jesus taught that our own forgiveness comes when we forgive others.
