there are several ways to combine a college education with military service.
ROTC: attend a collge with a Naval ROTC unit. assuming you contract( at the end of your sophomore year) you will be commissioned as either an Ensign or a 2nd LT(Marines) and be required to serve x number of years.
OCS: attend an accredited 4 year institution and apply to OCS. To be competetive, you will need a 3.5 or higher GPA ina hard science like Engineering or Math.
STA-21: enlist, and then apply to STA-21, a program whereby you go to school full time year round and get a 4 year degree in 3 years or less. easier to get picked up for this if you are an exceptional Sailor and already have some college under your belt.
LDO/Warrant: enlist, and then after the required years in service, apply to the Limited Duty Officer Prgram, or the Warrant Officer Program. LDO candidates must be E6 and eligible for the Chief's Board. Warrants must be Chiefs.
Or, you could stay enlisted your entire hitch and take classes on your own time, using the GI Bill and tuition assistance.

first off, find your local recruiter, they're everywhere. He/She will tell you everything you need to know about joining. If you want to do college, ask about the NROTC program so you can do both. You might have to go to RTC (Recruit Training Command;Boot Camp) first then off to college but the Navy will pay for all of your college. Before joining the Navy, You'll take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test),go to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Services), where you're gonna get a physical and talk to a career counselor, make sure you turn in all your medical info to the recruiter. the ASVAB and MEPS will verify if your qualified to join the Navy (what jobs you qualify for and physically), and from there, you'll be all set.Ask about the DEP (Delayed Entry Program)! GOOD LUCK!!!

Apply to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. If you get in, you'll get a great education, and you will, upon graduating, owe the next 5 years to the Navy.

If you enlist, you'll never get to go to college. They won't give you the time off that you need, I don't care what the commercials say. Either join the reserves and go to college that way or get accepted to the academy.
You could always join and go to college afterwards. That's what I did. Get the college fund and GI Bill and you'll bank while in school.

Are you talking about full time USN and part time college, part time USN and full time college, or both?
Full time USN and part time college is simple enough. You join the USN, and take college courses in your time off. Yes, there is internet capabilities at sea, so you can do online courses.
Full time college, part time USN, join the Naval Reserves.
Both, you have to get accepted to the Academy.
