GOING AWOL during a time of war is a BIG NO NO!!! If you are talking about a friend or boyfriend or even a hubby might as well leave the country cause sooner or later he is going to get caught. he wont even be able to flip burgers and MCDonalds. Back in the day they use to get hanged for that. WOW good luck, and just tell him to turn himself in and come up with some darn good excuse. Although excuses are like *** holes...everybody has one and they all stink...and to be honest he is a real BIG Pu ssy!!! leaving his brothers behind. I hope this person doesnt even say he is in the military so hes friends can think he is cool or even have somebody in the street say "thankyou for what you do for our country" ahhhh pisses me off!!!

he is classified as a deserter, and since your other post indicates he went on R&R to the PI, he will never be allowed back into the US again.

if he was a Philipine national with a Green card, he just ruined his life twice over.

If I understand your question, you know someone who has gone AWOL. It will not bode well for the person and it would be a good idea for them to turn them self in.
