Your girlfriend may benefit from being on the birth control pill. This greatly reduces PMS and pain associated with menstral periods. In the meantime she can take something like midol that she can find at your local drug store. This is effective for back pain, bloating and feeling tired. Hope this helps...

She is lucky to have such a caring boyfriend.

You probably don't need to be concerned, some women simply have really bad cramps, others don't. I used to have absolutely awful cramps to the point where I would throw up, be sweating profusely and crying in pain. She can try taking different over the counter medications such as advil (ibuprofen), midol, and I think there are some others. She doesn't need to worry too much about overdosing on these. 2-4 is fine. A warm water bottle definitely helps, and maybe even some cold water to drink. I also find that laying in the fetal position helps the best, I don't know why. If this is still an issue after trying all this then she needs to see her doctor. They have stronger medications for period pain (I know, I took them) and sometimes even birth control is used to help regulate them. Chances are over time her periods will become less severe.

More than anything, just be there for her. Let her know that you care. Hold her if she lets you. Rubbing her stomach a little bit may help too. She will greatly appreciate what an amazing boyfriend she has.

You must be a very thoughtful and considerate chap.
Speaking from experience and a lot of research, I would say the hot water bottle is a good start.
A massage on the base of her back is very soothing & a really hot bath as hot as she can bear but still soothing of course.
Personally I have been gradually switching from the prescribed medicines to natural ones over the past year , because I found that they were not helping the cause and I was needing to take more of them.
I have been weening myself off of them and believe I will be free of them soon.
Natural medicnes to try would be Cramp Bark, you can get this in capsules take approx 2-3 about three times a day (from your local health food store) preferably before pain starts if she can predict that.
Base cause for the pain probably means her liver could do with a little cleansing, I always avoid fried food but she might avoid it just around the time of her period.
Ways to cleanse the liver would be take a tincture of milk thistle (health food store) if she hates the taste you can get milk thistle in capules too take everyday about 3x a day this for a couple of months, or ask at the health food store for a liver cleasing kit or advice.
I also read the other day that Oregano Leaf was good for cramping - so you could research that?
By the way, athough asprin and other drugs are very wonderful at times in the long run they are not helpful to the liver and the rest of your body.
And dont believe there is nothing that cant be done, I really dont believe that is something we have to put up with every month.
Hope this helps

Its really refreshing to see a guy who actually shows some concern / care about his girlfriend when she is going through pain. Most men would say stay away, and give no sympathy - so 10 points for you for being a sweetie!!!

Best thing you can do is just be sympathetic. She has a hot water bottle already which will help (although is she is getting both stomach and back pains, get her another 1 so she can have heat on both sides at the same time!). General painkillers like paracetamol or nurofen will help.

If her pains are terrible, bleeding is particularly bad, I would suggest that she sees her doctor. They may be able to prescribe her something to help. Going on the pill may also help. Its not an excuse to have careless sex - it can help with period pain, blood flow etc - so perhaps that is something for her to consider (dependant upon her age of course!)

Well done you though for showing you care!

PS. Offer lots of cups of tea and bring her a big bar of dairy milk. That will cheer her up! :)

The best way to get back your ex is https://tr.im/2hOwa

Here's the hard part: Pretend she never existed, like it was all a dream, don't call her, that will make you the smaller person, be the bigger person since you deserve better, what she did to you on Valentines Day was immature, especially after dating for four years. This person wasted allot of your time and through it out the window. Go out tonight, even it it is only yourself, don't drink and call or feel sorry for yourself, this will only cause you embarrassment! I know your hurting..This will eventually will go away in time. Today is not a good day for you and your emotions are spinning all over the place.

Please, whatever you do, don't answer her calls and don't call her. If she keeps calling, which she pro bally won't, don't return her call for 5 days. Make her sweat and DO Not get back together right away if you discuss this in 5 days. Tell her since she Broke up with you, you have done allot of thinking, and had the taste of "being single again" and you would like more time being "friends" for now, so you are sure you are making the right decision. Remember "She decided she didn't want to be with you" so the door is open for you to get out and see what you have been missing for four years. You honestly need to do this for yourself.

She doesn't know, but what she did was give you the best valentines day present you will ever get! A new start and a new beginning, use it to your advantage. You will look back on this and Thank God this happened now instead of 4 more wasted years of YOUR life. Today does suck, stay Strong and I promise you your life is going to be so much more exciting and you are going to be happy. If you continue to call and call her, she will think of you as needy and won't want you. She is going to rethink what she did to you today and will be hurt, if you act like you could care less. Girls always want the ones they can't have. That is who you are now to her. Let her suffer, realizing what a mistake she made. This will drive her crazy. Right now she is on cloud 9 thinking you will take her back, OH, is she stupid!

Your life isn't ruined, hers is..She lost someone special, and gave you a gift to let to live life and find someone you deserve. You are not getting back at her, your teaching her what an idiot she is and what she lost and what you gained without her. SO when You eventually talk to her, tell her thank you for what she did...
She will be hurt and you will be happy!

Try applying a slight pressure to her abdomin where her pain is. My friend gets really bad cramps and she says that that helps her a lot. Otherwise, the only other thing you can do is just leave her alone in a nice hot bath to ease some of the pain. Good luck! Hope she feels better!

It sounds like she either needs to see a doctor to treat something more serious... or shes just a touch dramatic and wants attention from you. you sound like a great guy, dont let her walk all over you. Like someone else said already, she is a grown woman and should know how to deal with the pain of a monthly period. The hot water bottle should help and some extra strength midol should do the trick.

it is so nice that youre even asking this question. i get really bad periods too and i sometimes think my husband doesnt quite understand how much pain im in when they start. although he does help me by doing various things:
getting me a hot water bottle
getting me pain killers
being sympathetic
not leaving me on my own
doing all housework
basically if im having a really bad day with my periods mark treats me like im sick and looks after me. thats all you can do for your girlfriend. hope this helps!

oo nearly 4got get her some evening primrose oil capsuels and vitamin b6 capsuels! one of these each a day will help when period time comes around! another way to help is to have a hot bath...and i know this sounds a bit weird but having a poo helps...talking about her not you lol. it gets things moving and eases pressure. it really helps although theres not much you can do to encourage that!

To be sweet to my girl, I either get her a heating pad or just hold my warm hand on her tummy below her belly button. But, it sounds like your girlfriend may have more pain than most.

Has she discussed this with her doctor? The doctor could either figure out if something is wrong or give her a prescription that may help.
