I recently had an interview with Canon (yes, the camera company) and I met with several different people... mainly the HR and managing director, and the head of department.
Here is what I did and would recommend you do, because I got this job on the second try.
- Research the company ( who they are, future plans, the industry there are in, products, services, clients, etc) Preparation will eliminate your nervousness. Trust me.
- Purchase a book on common interview questions or look online for common interview questions such this one http://www.quintcareers.com/interview_questions.html
- Practice with a friend, family, colleague, or in the mirror.
- Make sure that you are not intimated (remember they want you just as much as you want them)
- Treat the interview as an informative conversation instead of an interrogation.
- Make sure you are in control of the inteview by asking "intelligent" and "relevant" questions to the position. Whih would derive from your research.
- Never ask about salary unless they bring it up.
- Bring your resume of course, along with any other materials that might makes you stand out from the crowd( well I am a marketing major so I brought writing samples, graphic design works, photographs etc)
- Show up early (i.e. 15 minutes before the interview)

First of all - show them your personality - let them see the real you. Keep really good posture. Make sure that you know the qualifications of this job and be prepared to ask a question or two yourself, and not about money. Dress appropriately, make sure you have a pen on you, and any ID that might be needed. Drivers licence, social security card that type of thing. Let them know that you feel you are qualified, capable, and very much interested in the position. Let them also know, that you are willing to learn and that you adapt really well. Whether you are male or female, greet them with a smile and a firm handshake. When asked a question, don't start with "ummm" before your answer. Show them you are well spoken. Your bound to be nervous, and thats ok, just don't show it too much. When done with the interview process, thank them all for their time and their consideration of you in this process. Good Luck - Let us know if you got the job!!

I think preparation in answering questions.. have a friend "quiz" you or look into a mirror and answer your own made up questions. Don't fidget during the interview. One possible question would be "why do you want to work for us?" Also knowing the background of the company ie website (if avail.) or information out there on www.
So relax and take a deep breath... Good Luck

Practice your answers, but make sure they don't sound like a recording when you go in. Practice in front of the mirror to make sure you aren't making any weird facial expressions. Make sure you get ready PLENTY of time before the interview or else you'll feel rushed and crazy. During the interview make sure you have lots of eye contact and smile as well. Nod when the person talks to you and make sure you have a good impression left.

Do your homework.. What are they looking for?? innovative, creativity, knowledge??? is there anyway to find out their past hiring patterns?? if you know the kind of people they are looking for you can answer questions that way.. alot of employers are hiring based on "behavior questions" ie how do you handle situations no mater what the situation is.. they want specific examples. look on line for examples of behavioral questions.

Try to get into your comfort zone. Make eye contact and smile, not too much, however, just enough to be natural.
