Now if you had asked your buddy at work or the bar that same question and he had answered the same way, you would have groaned and given a little chuckle! However, because it was a Christian, then you create this great furor!

Since you didn't confront him in his "lie" then you are also guilty of lying and, since you profess to be born again, that makes you a hypocrite for chastising him here! Also, since you are doing it here and not to the individual's face, you are gossiping, another sin!

If this never even happened then that would be a lie or, as Scripture calls it, bearing false witness!

I try to be honest and guess what I at times fall short. I am only human after all. No one person alive today is perfect. I may not have broken all of the 10 commandments, but yes, I have broken some of them.....
Peace.

You are right.

No mere man, since the fall, is able, in this life, perfectly to keep the commandments of God; but doth daily break them, in thought, word, and deed.

Ecclesiastes 7:20. For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

1 John 1:8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us

No ask your self the Greeks are one in all those extraordinary lot. of direction, while you're a member of a denomination that believes that the entire of the Bible is the stimulated understand God and must be taken actually, you're growing to be to be issues of Revelation - exceptionally in English.
