No.

Reading the Old Testament shows that he actively encourages it. For some reason, Christians are under the impression that he changed completely during the Roman rule, and decided that killing people in his name was wrong.

In reality the Bible states that God doesn't change, and if Numbers 31 is a true depiction of his will then he actually promotes anihilating entire races of people in his name.

Considering that according to the Bible God slaughtered plenty of people himself, I'd say no. The Biblegod as described is a petty, tempramental, erractic bully.

Yea. And if he doesnt exist then Im sure allah is appaled. And if he diesnt exist im sure buddah is appaled. And the list can go on and on. Stop focusing on the deaths cuased by christians. Its happend with all religions throughout the centuries. Even the christian crusades that suposedly were cuased by the christians if you do ur research u will discover the christians where merely protecting other christians from the muslims who were slotering them. Dont just dis a religion b/c u dont like it or society doesnt like it. Do ur research 1st. And dont give me a thumbs down b/c of wut ive said ppl. Its the trueth and if u dont like it that just proves ur biast agianst christians!

We all know we are to read his word in order to live his word (and not living his word is at your own risk). But, if you knew the word, then you would know that all of this, is prophecied in the Bible. It clearly states that it's only going to get worse from here. Our God is a loving God, he wouldn't let us go through this if there wasn't a reason for it.

To below me: I am all about Christian Crusading, but really read the question, no where is this person "dissing" any religion in it's word. But, I do believe he/she is definately trying to raise suspicion between the lines. And to the asker... a person who's faith is strong, can never be broken, tested but not broken. Through God, all things are possible. We Christians are strong through our Father. I will pray for you. You who have no truth, to come to Him.

Yes. By that I assume you are talking about the universal creator, the entity of which we are all part, the sum of all sets.

However, if you are referring to the "jealous god", the "vengeful god" of the old testament and Paul of Tarsus, founder of christianity, then I'd say that some believe not enough blood has been spilled for that "god" .

Jesus founded the Nazarenes also known as the gnostics.

Jesus believed that the "god" of the old testament was not god at all but satan pretending to be god.

The Vatican has known for almost 2000 years that it was Paul of Tarsus, not Jesus who founded christianity.

If he isn't appalled, he should be. I don't think it is his intention for others to be killed, despite what the OT says.
